Full Speed Ahead Inc., of Mukilteo, Washington, is recalling Gossamer Pro AGX+ bicycle cranksets, model CK-6037. The recall was initiated due to reports of the crankarms loosening or detaching from the crank/spindle. The recall involves approximately 12,300 units in the United States and an additional 250 units sold in Canada. The cranksets were sold separately and as original equipment on bicycles from multiple brands, including Cannondale, Canyon, Marin, Haro, Fuji, and Pinarello gravel models. The recall was published by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) on April 18, 2024.

The recalled product is the Full Speed Ahead (FSA) Gossamer Pro AGX+ bicycle crankset, model CK-6037. The text “FSA Gossamer Pro” is etched on the front of the crankarm. The model number and serial number are located on the back of the bicycle’s crankarm, next to the pedal threads. Only cranksets with serial numbers beginning with “B1,” “B2,” or “B3” are included in this recall. The cranksets were sold at independent bicycle stores nationwide and online through bicycle brands including Cannondale, Canyon, Marin, Haro, Fuji, and Pinarello. The cranksets were sold separately for approximately $190, and as part of complete bicycles that ranged in price from $1,700 to $4,000. The products were sold from January 2022 through June 2023. The cranksets were manufactured in Taiwan.
3. Hazard Information
The hazard associated with this product is that the bicycle’s crank arms can loosen and/or detach from the crank/spindle. This condition poses fall and injury hazards to the user. The firm, Full Speed Ahead, has received 277 reports of bicycle crankarms loosening or detaching. No injuries have been reported in connection with this hazard.
