On September 7, 2023, Emporia Energy Corp., of Littleton, Colorado, in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), announced a recall of approximately 80,000 units of Emporia North America Smart Plugs. The recall was initiated due to a hazard involving the product’s grounding. The firm has received two reports that the plugs were not properly grounded, causing the units not to operate.
