Each stick figure contains four small magnets, one in each hand and one in each foot. The stick figures are sold in clear plastic packaging. 3. Hazard Information
The magnetic stick figures violate the mandatory federal safety standard for toys. The hazard is that the toys contain loose magnets that pose an ingestion danger to children. If high-powered magnets are swallowed, the ingested magnets can attract each other or attract other metal objects inside the body. Once lodged in the digestive system, these magnets can cause perforations, twisting, and/or blockage of the intestines. These conditions can lead to blood poisoning and death.
