The recall is identified by Recall Number 26307. The manufacturer is Hisense Ltd., of Israel. The product was manufactured in China.

2. Affected Products
The recalled product is the Babysense Max View Baby Monitor with model number VBM55. The recall specifically involves the display unit (also referred to as the parent unit) that allows parents to see and hear the baby. The camera component placed in the child’s bedroom is not part of this recall. The display unit has “5.5” HD 1080P” printed on the upper left side of the monitor screen and the “babysense” logo on the lower portion of the monitor screen. The model number, “VBM55RX,” is printed on the product identification label on the back of the display unit. Approximately 81,800 units were sold in the United States. The units were sold online at Amazon.com, Walmart.com, and babylist.com from January 2023 through December 2025 for between $90 and $180.

3. Hazard Information
The display or “parent” unit of the Max View baby monitors can overheat and/or spark when charging, posing a fire hazard to consumers. Hisense has received 11 reports of incidents involving the display unit for the Babysense Max View Baby Monitors. No injuries have been reported.

4. Consumer Action Required
Consumers should stop using the display unit of the Max View baby monitors immediately. Consumers should contact Hisense for a free replacement display unit that does not pose a fire hazard. Note: Do not throw this recalled device in the trash, in the general recycling stream (e.g., street-level or curbside recycling bins), or in used battery recycling boxes found at various retail and home improvement stores. Recalled lithium-ion batteries must be disposed of differently than other batteries, because they present a greater risk of fire. Your municipal household hazardous waste (HHW) collection center may accept this recalled lithium-ion battery or device for disposal. Before taking your battery or device to a HHW collection center, contact that office ahead of time and ask whether it accepts recalled lithium-ion batteries. If it does not, contact your municipality for further guidance.

5. Official Remedy
The official remedy is a free replacement display unit that does not pose a fire hazard. Consumers should contact Hisense to arrange for the replacement.
