Infant Innovations, doing business as BabyBond, of Sheridan, Wyoming, is recalling BabyBond-branded retractable safety gates. The recall was initiated because the gates violate the mandatory federal safety standard for expansion gates and expandable enclosures. The recall notice states that a child’s torso can fit through the opening between the gate and the floor, creating an entrapment hazard that poses a risk of serious injury or death to children. No injuries have been reported in connection with this recall.

2. Affected Products

The recalled product is the BabyBond Retractable Safety Gate. The gates were sold in black, gray, and white and feature a metal frame. Each gate measures approximately 33 inches in height and has an adjustable width of up to 55 inches. A white label stitched to the mesh fabric on the side of the gate displays the text “Retractable Safety Gate” and the model number “SH20.006DB.” Approximately 280 units are affected by this recall. The gates were manufactured in China and were sold exclusively online at Target.com from November 2024 through October 2025 for about $50.

3. Hazard Information

The recalled safety gates violate the mandatory federal safety standard for expansion gates and expandable enclosures. Specifically, the design allows a child’s torso to fit through the opening between the bottom of the gate and the floor. This condition can result in a child becoming entrapped, which poses a risk of serious injury or death. As of the date of the recall notice, no injuries or incidents have been reported.

4. Consumer Action Required

Consumers who have purchased the recalled BabyBond Retractable Safety Gates are instructed to immediately stop using the product. The recall notice directs consumers to contact Infant Innovations via email at elsie@BabyBond-global.com for instructions on how to return the gates to any Target store.

The official remedy for this recall is a full refund. Consumers who return the recalled gates to any Target store, following the instructions provided by Infant Innovations, will receive a full refund of the purchase price.
