Jazwares LLC, of Sunrise, Florida, is recalling approximately 125,000 units of America’s Got Talent (AGT) microphones sold under the First Act brand. An additional six units were sold in Canada. The recall was initiated due to a fire hazard involving the product’s lithium-ion battery. The recall notice was published on February 6, 2025, by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) under Recall Number 25125.

2. Affected Products
The recall involves the America’s Got Talent (AGT) microphone sold under the First Act brand. The microphone amplifies the user’s voice and features treble, bass, and echo switches. The device is black with the AGT logo on the front, measures 10.5 inches in length, and weighs approximately one pound. An integrated speaker is located below the microphone, with a power button and control button on the back. The microphones are powered by a rechargeable, non-removable lithium-ion battery. The SKU numbers affected are AGT0002 (microphone only) and TMS0002 (microphone and poster). These SKU numbers are located on the bottom of the integrated speaker.

The recalled microphones were sold at Meijer, DD’s Discounts/Ross, and Target stores nationwide; Nebraska Furniture Mart stores in Nebraska, Iowa, Texas, and Kansas; and online at www.Amazon.com and www.Target.com. They were sold from October 2020 through October 2022 for a price between $20 and $25. The product was manufactured in China.

3. Hazard Information
The lithium-ion batteries in the recalled microphones can overcharge and ignite, posing a fire hazard. The firm, Jazwares, has received three reports of the lithium-ion batteries igniting, resulting in smoke and fire damage to walls and floors. No injuries have been reported in connection with this hazard.

4. Consumer Action Required
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled microphones. After ceasing use, consumers must contact Jazwares to register for the recall. Following registration, consumers should dispose of the microphone in accordance with local and state regulations. The recall notice explicitly states that the product should not be disposed of in ordinary trash.
