The product is manufactured from black high carbon stainless steel and includes a pocket clip. The recall was initiated by Amazon.com Services LLC, of Seattle, Washington, in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). The product was manufactured in China.

2. Affected Products
The recalled product is the Amazon Basics Camping Folding Pocket Knife, model number B0DM5BJK3H. The knife has a 3.5-inch blade and is black in color. Affected units are identified by the following manufacturing lot codes (MLC) printed on the side of the white packaging box: C25021766FJO, C25090466FJO, or C25090566FJO. Approximately 2,840 units were sold. The knives were sold online at Amazon.com from August 2025 through February 2026 for about $3.

3. Hazard Information
The hazard associated with this product is that the folding mechanism on the blade can fail to remain properly secured in the closed position. This failure poses a laceration hazard to the user. According to the recall notice, Amazon received one report of the blade not remaining properly secured in the closed position. No injuries have been reported as of the date of the recall notice.

4. Consumer Action Required
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled knife. Upon registration, consumers will be provided with a prepaid return kit and instructions for safely returning the recalled knife to Amazon. The refund will be issued either to the original payment method used at the time of purchase or in the form of an Amazon gift card, as determined by the recall process.
