This recall involves wooden folding chairs sold as part of three-piece foldable bistro sets. The sets consist of one small wooden table and two foldable chairs. The chairs have wood frames and feature black, anthracite, navy blue, beige, olive green, or off-white roping on the seat and back. The sets were sold under the Panama Jack and House & Garden brands. Each set includes a hangtag that displays the chair and table dimensions and the text “Made in Vietnam.” Chair dimensions are 16.53 inches by 20.47 inches by 32.28 inches. The folding table dimensions are 23.62 inches by 23.62 inches by 28.74 inches. The recall was initiated by The TJX Companies Inc., of Framingham, Massachusetts.
2. Affected Products
The affected products are the foldable bistro set chairs sold as part of three-piece bistro sets. The sets were sold at Marshalls, T.J. Maxx, HomeGoods, and Homesense stores nationwide. The retail sale period was from March 2022 through June 2023. The sets were sold for between $150 and $200. The number of units affected is approximately 11,000. The chairs were manufactured in Vietnam.
3. Hazard Information
The hazard associated with this product is that the wooden frame of the chair can break or collapse when a consumer is seated in the chair, posing a fall hazard. The firm has received seven reports of the wooden frame of the chair breaking or collapsing when a consumer was seated on the chair. These reports include four reports of minor injuries.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled chairs. Consumers should contact TJX for instructions on how to receive a full refund and dispose of the chairs. Alternatively, consumers can return the recalled chairs to any HomeGoods, Marshalls, T.J. Maxx, or Homesense store for a full refund.
