Recall Summary
On September 21, 2023, Make Believe Ideas LTD, of New York, in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), announced a recall of seven board books under the Rainbow Road Series. The recall was initiated due to a choking hazard. The recall notice was published on the CPSC website under Recall Number 23292. The recall involves approximately 260,000 units in the United States and about 12,900 units in Canada.

Affected Products
The recall includes the following board books and their corresponding ISBN numbers. The ISBN is printed on the book’s right-hand corner on the back, above the bar code. The books are children’s board books bound together with plastic rings. They were sold individually and as a book box containing four books.

– *Where’s My Bottom?* – ISBNs 9781803372723 and 9781803376738

The books were sold at Target, Barnes & Noble, Sam’s Club, and other stores nationwide, online at www.amazon.com and other websites, and at school book fairs nationwide from March 2022 through August 2023. Individual books were sold for between approximately $10 and $11, and the box set was sold for approximately $21. The products were manufactured in China.

Hazard Information
The plastic binding rings used to bind the board books can detach from the books. This detachment poses a choking hazard to young children. As of the date of the recall notice, Make Believe Ideas had received two reports of the plastic rings detaching in the United States and one report in Australia. No injuries have been reported.

Consumer Action Required
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled books. Consumers must contact Make Believe Ideas to receive a refund in the form of a gift card. To initiate the process, consumers should register online at www.recallrtr.com/rr. Following registration, consumers will be provided with instructions on how to dispose of their book(s) and will be asked to confirm that they have disposed of the books.
