– BigDog: Stout MP.
– Bobcat: ZT6000, ZT6100, and ZT7000.
– Cub Cadet: ZTX-6.
– Hustler: FasTrak SDX.
– John Deere: Z760R mower, Gator TX 4×2 and Gator TS 4×2 utility vehicles, and some service engines for model year 2016-2020 lawn tractor models X350R, X350, X354, and X370.
– Kubota: Z726XKW.
The recalled engine model numbers and specification numbers are as follows: FJ400D (ES04, FS04), FS600V (DS20, DS21), FS651V (HS05, JS05), FX691V (FS18, GS18), FX730V (FS17, GS17), FX801V (CS25, DS25, GS13, HS13, KS08, LS08, MS08), FX850V (ES24, FS13, FS15, FS24, GS15, GS24), and FXT00V (AS25, BS25, BS31). The engine serial number ranges are listed on the firm’s website. The products were sold at Kawasaki, Bad Boy Mowers, BigDog, Bobcat, Cub Cadet, Hustler, John Deere and Kubota dealers nationwide from April 2021 through December 2023 for between $4,000 and $15,500.
Hazard Information
The recalled engines can overheat, posing fire and burn hazards. Kawasaki has received eight reports of fires with the recalled engines. No injuries have been reported.
