The recall was initiated by the importer, Lichang E-Commerce, Inc., of Hacienda Heights, California, in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). The distributors are Shenzhen Yiqiyuan Technology Co. Ltd., doing business as Qeyan, of China, and Shenzhen Yanyan Network Co. Ltd., doing business as Yanyanny, of China. The product was manufactured in China.

2. Affected Products
The affected product is the LIVACTI Retractable Safety Gate, model number LT-BG01-3. Approximately 1,400 units were sold. The gates were sold exclusively on Amazon from December 2024 through April 2025 for a price between $55 and $75. The retailers listed in the recall notice are Amazon. No other specific retailers, UPC codes, or lot numbers are specified in the recall notice.

3. Hazard Information
The recalled gates violate the mandatory federal safety standard for expansion gates and expandable enclosures. The specific hazard is that a child’s torso can fit through the opening between the gate and the floor. This condition poses a risk of serious injury or death due to entrapment. As of the date of the recall notice, no injuries have been reported.

4. Consumer Action Required
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled gates. Consumers must contact Qeyan and Yanyanny for instructions on how to receive a full refund. As part of the remedy process, consumers are required to destroy the gate by cutting through the mesh. After destroying the gate, consumers must take a photograph showing the destroyed gate. The photograph must be submitted to the email address support@livactihome.com.
