Luyuan Inc., in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), has issued a recall for specific youth all-terrain vehicles (ATVs). The recall involves the X-Pro Eagle 40cc Youth ATV, Model CARTOONS, and the FRP Sahara 40cc Youth ATV, Model SHR 40-RED-M. The recall was initiated because the youth ATVs violate the mandatory federal safety standard for all-terrain vehicles. The recall notice states that the mechanical suspension fails to comply with safety requirements, and the handlebars pose a specific hazard. Approximately 2,290 units are affected in the United States.

2. Affected Products
The recalled products are the X-Pro Eagle 40cc Youth ATV (Model CARTOONS) and the FRP Sahara 40cc Youth ATV (Model SHR 40-RED-M). The ATVs are available in various colors. Consumers can identify the X-Pro Eagle model by looking for “X PRO” labels on the sides of the plastic body. Consumers can identify the FRP Sahara model by looking for “FRP” labels on the front small plastic cover as well as on the sides of the plastic body.

The X-Pro Eagle 40cc Youth ATVs were sold online at Walmart.com, Powersportsmax.com, and Xprousa.com from June 2025 through September 2025 for a price between $480 and $500. The FRP Sahara 40cc Youth ATVs were sold online at Amazon.com, Temu.com, and Frpmoto.com from April 2025 through September 2025 for a price between $460 and $480.

3. Hazard Information
The recalled youth ATVs violate the mandatory ATV safety standard. According to the recall notice, the youth ATVs’ mechanical suspension fails to comply with safety requirements, posing a crash hazard. Additionally, the handlebars pose a laceration hazard if the child rider’s body or head impacts the handlebars at high speed. The recall notice states that ATVs which fail to meet the mandatory safety requirements pose a risk of serious injury or death. As of the date of the recall notice, no injuries have been reported.

4. Consumer Action Required
Consumers should immediately stop using the X-Pro Eagle 40cc Youth ATVs and FRP Sahara 40cc Youth ATVs. Consumers must contact Luyuan to arrange for a free repair from an authorized repair shop.
