The recalled product is the SCUBAPRO Monorail Weight Pocket for BCDs. The weight pocket has a black base and a fabric pouch sold in multiple colors with a gray plastic D-ring handle attached to it. The weight pocket was sold in two sizes: standard and mini. The standard size measures approximately 10.75 inches long by 3.75 inches wide by 2 inches deep and weighs about 9.6 ounces. The mini size measures approximately 7.5 inches long by 3.75 inches wide by 2 inches deep and weighs about 7.52 ounces. Both sizes have a color cover with “Monorail Weight System” printed on the bottom of the pocket. The standard size also has “SCUBAPRO” printed on the cover. Hazard Information
The D-ring handle that is used to unlock the weight pocket from the Buoyancy Compensator Device (BCD) can detach during use. If this occurs, the user will not be able to remove the weight pocket in an emergency in order to rise to the surface. This poses a risk of serious injury or death from a drowning hazard.
