On October 2, 2025, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) published Recall Number 26005 for Almpal dissolved oxygen test kits. The recall involves approximately 470 units. The test kits were sold on Amazon from May 2025 through August 2025 for about $25. The distributor is Ningbo Leha E-Commerce Co., Ltd., of China, doing business as Amazon seller Almpal. Consumers are instructed to dispose of all kits—expired, unexpired, or unused—in accordance with local household hazardous waste regulation. Hazard Information
The recalled test kits contain a bottle of sulfuric acid. Under the Poison Prevention Packaging Act, this bottle must be in child-resistant packaging.
