1. Recall Summary
On June 20, 2024, Cinmar LLC, of West Chester, Ohio, announced a recall of approximately 70,000 Frontgate Resort Collection Newport Aluminum and Teak Chaise Lounge Chairs. The recall was initiated due to a finger crushing and amputation hazard associated with the adjustable backrest mechanism. 2. Affected Products

3. Hazard Information
The hazard involves the adjustable backrest mechanism. When a consumer adjusts the backrest while seated, the backrest can unexpectedly descend with force. This movement can entrap fingers between the backrest and the chair frame, creating a risk of finger crushing and amputation.

As of the recall date, Cinmar has received three reports of incidents involving consumers’ fingers becoming entrapped. These incidents resulted in two partial finger amputation injuries and one finger-crushing injury that required surgery.

4. Consumer Action Required
Consumers are instructed to immediately stop using the recalled chaise lounge chairs. To initiate the remedy process, consumers must contact Cinmar and submit a photograph of their chaise. After the photo is submitted, Cinmar will provide a free repair kit, which includes a new backrest support bar and assembly instructions.
