1. Recall Summary
On February 10, 2022, Positec USA Inc., of Charlotte, North Carolina, announced a voluntary recall of approximately 17,630 WORX brand 13 Amp 1900 PSI Electric Pressure Washers. The recall was initiated in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). The recall notice is identified by CPSC Recall Number 22078. The recalled products were manufactured in China.

2. Affected Products
The recall involves the WORX brand 13 Amp 1900 PSI Electric Pressure Washer with model number WG606. The pressure washers are gray and orange in color. The WORX brand name is located on the front of the product, and the words “Electric Pressure Washer” appear on the handle. The model number is found on the product label located on the main body of the product, on the back of the soap tank, in the upper left corner of that label. The serial number is found on the same label. Recalled products have serial numbers falling within the following ranges: 20210200078905 to 20210200096490, and 20210200097286 to 20210200097881. The products were sold at Menards stores in the Midwest and at other independent hardware stores nationwide, as well as online at www.menards.com, from April 2021 through November 2021. The retail price was approximately $180.

3. Hazard Information
According to the recall notice, the sprayer hose can separate from the spray wand during use. This separation poses an impact injury hazard to the user or to passersby. Positec USA has received 61 reports of the spray hose and wand separating. Among these reports, there were four reports of minor injuries, including cuts and bruises.

4. Consumer Action Required
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled pressure washers. Consumers must contact Positec USA for instructions on returning the spray wand for a free replacement. Positec USA is contacting all known purchasers directly. 5. Official Remedy
The official remedy is a free replacement of the spray wand. The process is as follows: After a consumer contacts Positec USA, the company will verify the consumer’s information.
