On November 3, 2022, a recall was announced for all MYX I, MYX II, and MYX II Plus connected exercise bicycles. 2. Affected Products
The recall involves all MYX I, MYX II, and MYX II Plus connected exercise bicycles. The stationary bikes are available in black or white. They measure 55 inches long, 21 inches wide, and 47 inches high. Each bike features a 21.5-inch swiveling touchscreen, pedals with clips and straps, and adjustable handlebars and seat. The word “Myx” is printed on the side of the bicycles. The products were sold online at Amazon.com and Walmart.com from April 2020 through May 2022 for between $30 and $40. 3. Hazard Information
The hazard associated with these exercise bicycles is that the pedals can loosen and/or detach when not properly tightened at installation. This poses an injury hazard. The official remedy for this recall is a repair. Specifically, Myx is providing consumers with instructions via email on how to properly tighten the pedals. For consumers whose pedals have previously detached and have not yet been repaired by Myx, the company will schedule a free, in-home repair.
