Recall Summary
This recall involves four models of LG Electronics 86-inch smart televisions and their supporting stands. The serial numbers of the recalled products begin with one of the following prefixes: 202RM, 203RM, 204RM, 205RM, 206RM, 207RM, or 208RM. The serial number is located at the bottom right of the back of the television, alongside the model number. Consumers can also verify the serial number by pressing the mute button three times rapidly on the original LG remote control provided with the television.
The televisions and stands were sold at Walmart, Best Buy, Costco, and other stores nationwide, as well as online at Amazon.com, Walmart.com, Bestbuy.com, and Costco.com. They were sold from March 2022 through September 2022 for between $1,100 and $1,900. The manufacturer is LG Electronics Reynosa, S.A. de C.V., of Reynosa, Mexico. The importer is LG Electronics U.S.A. Inc., of Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey.
Hazard Information
The hazard associated with this product is that the television can become unstable while on the assembled stand. This instability poses a serious tip-over and entrapment hazard that can result in injuries or death to children and others. According to the recall notice, LG Electronics has received 22 reports of TV stand instability, which resulted in 12 reports of tip-overs. No injuries have been reported.

Consumers who are using the television with its supporting stand legs should immediately detach the television from the stand and place the television in a safe location away from children. Consumers who have wall-mounted their televisions do not need to stop using their televisions. After detaching the television, consumers should contact LG Electronics for instructions on how to inspect the unit and to obtain replacement screws and stand parts. The company will also provide help from a technician for a free repair.
