1. Recall Summary
Kawasaki Motors Corp. U.S.A., in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), is voluntarily recalling approximately 19,100 units of 2024 Mule PRO-FX™ 1000, PRO-FXR™ 1000, and PRO-FXT™ 1000 off-highway utility vehicles. The recall was initiated due to a fire hazard identified during engine start-up. The vehicles were manufactured in the United States by Kawasaki Motors Manufacturing Corp., U.S.A., of Lincoln, Neb., and distributed by Kawasaki Motors Corp. U.S.A., of Foothill Ranch, Calif.
2. Affected Products
The recall involves the following 2024 model year Kawasaki Mule PRO 1000 series four-wheel, off-highway utility vehicles. The vehicles were sold in the following colors: Metallic Sierra Blue, Metallic Onyx Black, Firecracker Red, Ice Gray, TRUETIMBER® Strata, Metallic Titanium, and Metallic Stardust White. The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) is located on the forward frame rail below the seat. The model name and model code are printed on the owner’s manual.

3. Hazard Information
The hazard associated with this recall is that improper combustion can occur when starting the engine, posing a fire hazard. Kawasaki has received three reports of fires occurring during engine start-up. No injuries have been reported.
4. Consumer Action Required
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled utility vehicles. Kawasaki is contacting all known purchasers directly. Consumers must contact a Kawasaki dealer to schedule a free repair.
5. Official Remedy
