1. Recall Summary
Shanghai Jing Cheng Landscape Engineering Company, of China, is recalling its NewCosplay brand children’s long-sleeved, button-up one-piece sleepwear. The recall was announced on January 19, 2023, under CPSC Recall Number 23102. The sleepwear was sold exclusively on Amazon.com from October 2021 through May 2022. The recall involves approximately 3,300 units in the United States.

2. Affected Products
The recalled products are NewCosplay children’s sleepwear made of 100% polyester. The garments are long-sleeved, button-up one-piece styles sold in sizes 4T through 10 years. The sleepwear was available in the following character designs: black cat, black penguin, black pig, gray elephant, gray penguin, kangaroo, koala, panda, pink pig, unicorn, red eye panda, white chicken, and yellow chicken. The inside seam label displays the fiber content and washing instructions. The sewn-in neck label displays the garment’s size and the brand name “NEWCOSPLAY.” The products were manufactured by Suzhou Rongtai Home Textile Co. Ltd., of China, and imported by Shanghai Jing Cheng Landscape Engineering Company. The sleepwear was sold online at www.amazon.com from October 2021 through May 2022 for between $17 and $26.

3. Hazard Information
The recalled children’s sleepwear fails to meet the federal flammability standards for children’s sleepwear, posing a risk of burn injuries to children. As of the date of the recall notice, no injuries have been reported.

4. Consumer Action Required
Consumers should immediately take the recalled sleepwear garments away from children and stop using them. Consumers must destroy the garments by cutting them in half. After destroying the garment, consumers should email a photo of the destroyed garment to Shanghai Jing Cheng Landscape Engineering Company at 591025473@qq.com. Upon receipt of the photo, consumers will be issued a full refund of the purchase price. Shanghai Jing Cheng Landscape Engineering Company and Amazon are contacting all known purchasers directly.

5. Official Remedy
The official remedy is a full refund of the purchase price. No replacement or repair option is specified in the recall notice. Consumers must provide a photo of the destroyed garment to receive the refund.
