1. Recall Summary
On January 19, 2023, Mianzhu Ye Xin Trading Co. LTD, of China, initiated a recall of approximately 780 units of NewCosplay branded children’s button-up long-sleeved, one-piece sleepwear garments. The recall was issued due to the products failing to meet federal flammability standards for children’s sleepwear. The sleepwear was sold exclusively on Amazon.com from November 2021 through May 2022 for between $17 and $26. The manufacturer is Suzhou Rongtai Home Textile Co. Ltd., of China. No injuries have been reported in connection with this recall.

2. Affected Products
The recalled products are NewCosplay branded children’s button-up long-sleeved, one-piece sleepwear garments. The sleepwear is made of 100% polyester and was sold in sizes 4T through 10 years. The garments feature the following character designs: yellow chicken, white chicken, raccoon, koala, giraffe, cow, panda, purple unicorn, rainbow yellow unicorn, pink unicorn, blue unicorn, and star unicorn. The side seam label contains the fiber content and washing instructions. The sewn-in neck label displays the garment’s size and the word “NEWCOSPLAY.”

3. Hazard Information
The recalled children’s sleepwear fails to meet the federal flammability standards for children’s sleepwear. This violation poses a risk of burn injuries to children. As of the date of the recall notice, no injuries have been reported.

4. Consumer Action Required
Consumers should immediately take the recalled sleepwear garments away from children and stop using them. Consumers must destroy the garments by cutting them in half. After destroying the garment, consumers must email a photo of the destroyed garment to Mianzhu Ye Xin Trading at lingbahao08@163.com. Upon receipt of the photo, consumers will be issued a full refund of the purchase price. Mianzhu Ye Xin Trading and Amazon are contacting all known purchasers directly.

5. Official Remedy
The official remedy for this recall is a full refund of the purchase price. To receive the refund, consumers must destroy the recalled garment by cutting it in half and submit a photo of the destroyed garment to Mianzhu Ye Xin Trading via email at lingbahao08@163.com. Upon receipt and verification of the photo, the company will issue a full refund.
