Recall Summary
This recall involves Lancaster Table & Seating brand high chairs. The recall was announced on February 23, 2023, by Clark Associates. The recall number is 23134. The high chairs were sold in black, mahogany, natural, or walnut finishes. They were available in either assembled or ready-to-assemble form. Only high chairs manufactured in China are affected. The phrase “Made in China” or “made in ____” is printed on the warning label located on the front of the seatback and on the product label found on the underside of the seat bottom. The model number is printed on the label on the underside of the seat bottom. Approximately 22,400 units were sold in the United States, and an additional 52 units were sold in Canada.

– 164HIGHCKDWN (Walnut)
The high chairs were sold at The Restaurant Store locations in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland, as well as online at www.therestaurantstore.com and www.webstaurantstore.com. They were sold from January 2022 through September 2022 for between $43 and $65.
Hazard Information
The high chairs can break, posing a fall hazard to children. The firm, Clark Associates, has received three reports of high chairs breaking while in use and children falling. No injuries have been reported.
Consumer Action Required
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled high chairs. Consumers should return the recalled high chairs to any of The Restaurant Store locations in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, or Maryland. Alternatively, consumers should contact Clark Associates for instructions on how to properly discard the product. Consumers will be asked to submit a photo of the dismantled or destroyed product and dispose of it.
Official Remedy
Consumers who contact Clark Associates will receive a free replacement or a refund in the form of a store credit. Consumers who return the product to a physical The Restaurant Store location will also receive a free replacement or refund in the form of a store credit.
