1. Recall Summary
Sandoz Inc. is recalling specific lots of Aprepitant Capsules 125 mg and Lidocaine and Prilocaine Cream 2.5%/2.5% prescription drugs. The recall involves two prescription drug products:
– Aprepitant Capsules 125 mg: Sold in cartons containing one blister card of 6 capsules. The blister card is non-child resistant. The carton bears the name “Sandoz,” the medication name, dosage, NDC number, lot number, and expiration date. The warnings “This unit-dose packaging is not child-resistant” and “For institutional use only” are printed on the carton.
– NDC Numbers: 0781-2323-68 (Carton of 1 Blister Pack of 6 capsules); 0781-2323-06 (Blister Pack)
– Lot Numbers: LK3209, LC6454
– Expiration Dates: 04/2024, 12/2023
– Lidocaine and Prilocaine Cream 2.5%/2.5%: Sold in 5 gram tubes with a continuous thread white closure. The carton and tube bear the name “fougera®,” the medication name, dosage, and NDC number. The expiration date and lot number are printed on the carton and stamped on the crimp of the tube. The warning “FOR HOSPITAL USE ONLY” is printed on the carton and tube.

3. Hazard Information
The recalled prescription drugs are required by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act (PPPA) to be in child-resistant packaging. The packaging of these products is not child resistant. This poses a risk of poisoning if the contents are swallowed by young children. No injuries have been reported in connection with this recall.
4. Consumer Action Required
Consumers who have any of the recalled products should immediately secure the medications out of the sight and reach of children. Consumers should then contact Sandoz to request a free child-resistant pouch to store the products. Once the medication is secured in the pouch, consumers can continue to use the medication as directed.
5. Official Remedy
The official remedy offered by Sandoz is the provision of a free child-resistant pouch to store the recalled products. Consumers are instructed to use this pouch to secure the medication. No refund, replacement product, or return of the medication is required. Consumers may continue using the medication after securing it in the provided pouch.
