On March 30, 2023, Carhartt Inc., of Dearborn, Michigan, in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), announced a recall of approximately 32,505 units of Carhartt Men’s Force Relaxed 5 Pocket Work Pants. The recall was issued due to a fall hazard associated with an elastic drawstring hem near the ankle of the pants. The recalled pants were sold exclusively at Dick’s Sporting Goods stores nationwide and online at www.dickssportinggoods.com from July 2022 through November 2022 for about $70. The pants were manufactured in India.

2. Affected Products
The recall involves Carhartt Men’s Force Relaxed 5 Pocket Work Pants with an elastic drawstring hem near the ankle. The product number 105222 is printed on a tag on the inside seam near the waistband. The pants are made of 81% cotton, 16% nylon, and 3% elastane stretch twill. They were sold in gray and brown colors. The pants feature two front pockets, a phone pocket on the right leg, and two back pockets (one with a zipper). All sizes are included in this recall.
