1. Recall Summary
This recall involves the Aiper Elite Pro cordless robotic pool vacuum cleaner, model number GS100. The recall was initiated by Shenzhen Aiper Intelligent Co., Ltd., of China, and the manufacturer is Compurobot Technology Company, of China. The recall was published on August 24, 2023. The firm has received 17 reports of the recalled pool vacuums overheating, including one report of a minor burn to a consumer’s fingertip, which did not require medical treatment. No property damage has been reported.

2. Affected Products
The recalled product is the Aiper Elite Pro GS100 cordless robotic pool vacuum cleaner. The unit weighs 11.2 pounds and measures approximately 15.9 x 14.2 x 10 inches. The pool vacuum is dark gray, with the “Aiper” brand name printed on the top/front of the product. The model name and number are printed on the label attached to the bottom side of the pool vacuum. About 22,000 units were sold in the United States. In addition, about 50 units were sold in Canada and about four units were sold in Mexico. The products were sold online at www.aiper.com, Amazon.com, www.cocktailpool.com, www.factorypure.com, www.myrobotdirect.com, www.wellbots.com, and uspoolsite.com from January 2023 through May 2023 for between $600 and $800.

3. Hazard Information
When the charging cord is plugged into the device without the adapter and/or directly into the charging port on the machine, the battery can overheat and short circuit, posing burn and fire hazards. The firm has received 17 reports of the recalled pool vacuums overheating, including one report of a minor burn to a consumer’s fingertip, which did not require medical treatment. No property damage has been reported.

4. Consumer Action Required
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled pool vacuums and contact Aiper to receive a free replacement of Aiper’s Seagull Pro robotic pool cleaner. Aiper will provide a free return label for consumers to send the product back to Aiper. Within seven days of receiving the recalled Elite Pro, Aiper will ship the replacement product. Aiper is contacting all purchasers directly.

5. Official Remedy
The official remedy is a free replacement product. Consumers who contact Aiper will receive a free replacement of Aiper’s Seagull Pro robotic pool cleaner. Aiper will provide a free return label for consumers to send the recalled Elite Pro back to Aiper. Within seven days of receiving the recalled Elite Pro, Aiper will ship the replacement product.
