On September 28, 2023, Secura Inc., in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), announced a recall of certain Secura air fryers. The recalled units were sold online at thesecura.com and Amazon.com from May 2019 through October 2020 for between $48 and $90. The products were manufactured in China. The importer is Secura Inc., of Lake Forest, California.

3. Hazard Information
The hazard identified in the recall notice is that a wire connection in the air fryer can overheat, posing fire and burn hazards. The firm has received nine reports of the air fryers catching fire, burning, and smoking. No injuries or property damage have been reported.

4. Consumer Action Required
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled air fryers. Consumers must contact Secura to receive a remedy. To receive the gift card or replacement product, consumers must provide their contact information and submit photos of the recalled unit with the power cord cut off.
