The recalled units are identified by serial numbers that contain one of three specific codes as the fifth code in the six-code serial number: 15914, 19203, or 19988. The serial number label is located on the bottom of the hoverboard. The hoverboards were manufactured in China. They were sold online at www.walmart.com and www.amazon.com from September 2020 through December 2021, with a retail price between approximately $170 and $200.

3. Hazard Information
The recalled hoverboard’s lithium-ion battery can overheat, posing a fire hazard. According to the recall notice, DGL Group has received three reports of fire associated with these hoverboards. These incidents are linked to five reports of people experiencing headaches, nausea, or coughs from smoke inhalation. Additionally, approximately $25,000 in reported property damage has been attributed to these incidents.
