1. Recall Summary
Flat River Group, of Belding, Michigan, is recalling approximately 22,700 units of HolaBelle NextGen children’s bicycles. The recall was initiated because the bicycles do not meet U.S. safety standards for bicycles, posing crash and injury hazards to children. The recall notice was published on February 1, 2024. No injuries have been reported in connection with this recall.
2. Affected Products
The recall involves HolaBelle NextGen children’s bicycles in the following sizes: 10-inch, 12-inch, 16-inch, and 20-inch. The bicycles were sold in the colors black, blue, red, purple, and pink. The NextGen logo is printed across either the top tube or the down tube of the frame on the bikes.

3. Hazard Information
The recalled bicycles violate federal safety regulations for bicycles. The specific hazards are as follows:
– The 10-inch, 12-inch, and 16-inch bicycles are equipped with hand brakes but no footbrakes. Federal regulations require bicycles with seat heights measuring at or below 25 inches to be equipped with foot brakes.
