1. Recall Summary

This recall involves Spring Spirit and Biloban brand pack and play mattresses sold exclusively on Amazon.com. The mattresses were manufactured in China and distributed by Hangzhou Sharejoy Ecommerce Co. Ltd, dba Biloban. The recall was announced on February 22, 2024. The products violate the federal safety regulation for crib mattresses and pose a suffocation hazard to infants. No injuries have been reported.

2. Affected Products

The recall includes two specific mattress models:

– Spring Spirit Pack and Play Mattress (Amazon ASIN B086X5RKRZ): This is a trifold mattress with a bamboo pattern print. The brand name “Spring Spirit” is printed on a tag located on one side of the mattress. A separate tag on the opposite side contains the batch number 230315US and the manufacture date in the format “PD DD.MM/YYY”. These mattresses were manufactured from August 2022 through July 2023.

– Biloban Pack and Play Mattress (Amazon ASIN B09WMP2BS3): This mattress is white with “Biloban” and gray stars printed on the top surface. The underside of the mattress is gray. The brand name “Biloban” is printed on the mattress’ hangtag. A tag stapled to the mattress cover contains the batch number 2304US and the manufacture date in the format “PD DD.MM/YYY”. These mattresses were manufactured from August 2022 through July 2023.

Approximately 20,000 units were sold in the United States. The mattresses were sold exclusively on Amazon.com from August 2022 through August 2023 for about $40.

3. Hazard Information

The recalled mattresses violate multiple provisions of the federal safety regulation for crib mattresses. Specifically, the products fail the thickness test and are missing required warnings and labels. As a result, the product poses a suffocation hazard to infants. As of the date of the recall notice, no injuries or incidents have been reported.

4. Consumer Action Required

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled mattresses. Consumers must destroy the recalled mattresses. After destroying the product, consumers should contact Biloban to receive a full refund and for directions on how to dispose of the mattresses. Biloban and Amazon are contacting all purchasers directly.
