On January 30, 2025, Greater Goods LLC, of Saint Louis, Missouri, announced a recall of approximately 349,500 Digital Kitchen Scales. The recall was issued due to violations of federal safety regulations for consumer products containing button cell or coin batteries, specifically under Reese’s Law. The recalled scales include a pre-installed lithium CR3032 coin battery and a spare CR3032 battery in the packaging. The scales are available in gray, black, blue, green, pink, red, silver, and white colors. Each scale has a sticker on the back displaying the brand and model number. The Greater Goods logo is located on the top of the front panel of the scale. The scales come with a lithium CR3032 coin battery pre-installed and a spare CR3032 battery included in the packaging. No other models or products are included in this recall.

3. Hazard Information
The recalled digital kitchen scales violate mandatory federal regulations for consumer products containing button cell or coin batteries. According to the recall notice, the scale has a lithium coin battery that can be easily accessed by children. Additionally, the spare coin battery provided with the product is not in child-resistant packaging, as required by Reese’s Law. The recalled scales also do not have the required warnings.
