1. Recall Summary
On March 6, 2025, Taylor Water Technologies LLC, of Sparks, Maryland, initiated a recall of Phosphate Reagent

1 bottles. The recall includes bottles sold as part of Taylor Phosphate Test Kits (model K-1106) and bottles sold separately as replacement reagent. The recall was issued due to a violation of the federal Poison Prevention Packaging Act (PPPA). The bottles contain sulfuric acid and are not in child-resistant packaging, posing a risk of severe chemical burns. As of the recall date, no injuries had been reported.

2. Affected Products
The recall involves the following products:
– Phosphate Reagent

1 bottles sold within Taylor Phosphate Test Kits (part number K-1106). The kits are used to test phosphate levels in water for pools, spas, and aquariums.

– Replacement Phosphate Reagent

1 bottles sold separately (part number R-0980).

1 has a shelf-life of 24 months. Only unexpired bottles are included in this recall and eligible for the free replacement.

Number of units: Approximately 10,000.

Sold at: Online at www.taylortechnologies.com and other websites, and in pool and aquarium stores nationwide from August 2022 through August 2024. The reagent bottles sold for about $13, and the kits that include the reagent bottles sold for about $56.

3. Hazard Information
The recalled reagent bottles contain sulfuric acid. Under the Poison Prevention Packaging Act (PPPA), products containing sulfuric acid must be in child-resistant packaging. The packaging for the bottle with sulfuric acid is not child resistant. This poses a risk of chemical burns to the skin or eyes and internal corrosive burns if the contents are ingested.

No injuries have been reported in connection with this recall.

4. Consumer Action Required
Consumers should take the following actions immediately:
– Stop using the recalled Phosphate Reagent

1 bottles.

– Place the bottles in a safe and secure location away from the reach of children.
– Contact Taylor Water Technologies for information on how to properly dispose of the recalled bottle and to obtain a free replacement bottle.

Only unexpired Phosphate Reagent

1 bottles are included in this recall and eligible for the free replacement. Taylor Water Technologies is contacting all known purchasers directly.
