On October 23, 2025, Cranach Hardware, of China, initiated a recall of approximately 55,170 units of its plastic tip restraint kits (also referred to as furniture straps). The recall was issued due to a tip-over hazard. The recalled product is designed to secure furniture to walls. The product was sold exclusively on Amazon beginning in September 2019, for a price range of $6 to $30, depending on the number of units in a package.
