Recall Summary

This recall involves the Grundens Youth Clipper 282 Jacket and Youth Zenith 282 Jacket. The jackets were sold at Bass Pro Shops and other outdoor stores nationwide and on Grundens.com from August 2015 through August 2025. The retail price ranged from $55 to $120. Approximately 8,850 units were sold in the United States. An additional 730 units were sold in Canada.

Hazard Information

The hazard identified in the recall notice is that the drawstring in the hood of the recalled jackets presents a substantial product hazard. The drawstring can get caught on objects and cause death or serious injury to children due to strangulation. No injuries or incidents have been reported to the CPSC or to Grundens as of the date of the recall notice.
