Recall Summary
This recall involves Ellerbeck Wall Sconces manufactured by Kichler Lighting LLC, of Solon, Ohio, and imported from China. The recall was published on February 27, 2025, under CPSC Recall Number 25162. The recall applies only to wall sconces produced on or after June 16, 2023, and installed as a plug-in fixture without an electrical box. Approximately 2,760 units were sold in the United States, and about 215 units were sold in Canada. The wall sconces were sold at lighting showrooms nationwide and online at Amazon.com and Lowes.com from June 2023 through December 2024, with a retail price between $165 and $240.

Affected Products
The recalled product is the Ellerbeck Wall Sconce. The sconces have articulating jointed arms and can be mounted either as a plug-in fixture (without an electrical box) or without a cord to an electrical box. The sconce arms measure approximately 21.25 inches long. The wall sconces were sold in four finishes: black, natural brass, polished nickel, and classic pewter. The corresponding model numbers are:
– 43115BK (black)
– 43115NBR (natural brass)
– 43115PN (polished nickel)
– 43115CLP (classic pewter)

The model number and production date are printed on the product packaging and on a sticker on the inside of the wall plate. The production date code is located on a sticker on the underside of the sconce wall plate. Only wall sconces with a production date on or after June 16, 2023, and installed as a plug-in fixture without an electrical box are included in this recall. Sconces installed with a cord to an electrical box are not subject to this recall.

Hazard Information
The hazard identified in the recall notice is that the wall sconce’s electrical wires can become damaged at the adjustable joints, posing a risk of electric shock. No injuries have been reported in connection with this hazard.

Consumer Action Required
Consumers should take the following steps as specified in the recall notice:
1. Inspect the wall sconce and confirm that the product is installed as a plug-in fixture without an electrical box.
2. Upon confirmation, immediately unplug and stop using the recalled sconces.

Once contacted by Kichler, the company will provide instructions on how to destroy the recalled product and how to provide a photograph confirming the destruction. After the destruction is verified, Kichler will provide a free replacement wall sconce. The remedy option is replacement.
