2. Affected Products
The recall involves LVOE-branded negative ion hair dryers. The recalled hair dryers were sold in the following colors: purple, pink, light gray, and gold. The units feature multiple air settings, temperature control, and a diffuser. Each unit comes with either three or four nozzles. The product name “LVOE,” the words “Hair Dryer,” and the model designation “Product model: X13” are printed on a label located on the hair dryer’s packaging. The hair dryers were manufactured in China. The distributor is identified as Shenzhen Meili Technology Co., of China. The importer is AliExpress, of San Mateo, California. The products were sold at a retail price between $117 and $185.

3. Hazard Information
The recalled handheld hair dryers lack an immersion protection device. According to the recall notice, this deficiency can cause death or serious injury due to electrocution or shock if the hair dryer falls into water while plugged in. The product is in violation of federal regulations and presents a substantial product hazard. As of the date of the recall notice, no injuries or incidents have been reported.
