1. Recall Summary
This recall involves all models of Delta-branded Gas Ball Valves. The valves are chrome, manually operated gas valves sold by Masco Canada Limited and Delta Faucet Company for use in school, research, and hospital laboratories. The valves are used to control the flow of gas, acting as an on/off valve for gas delivery. The recall was initiated due to a hazard identified by the manufacturer. Approximately 3,700 units were sold in the United States, and an additional 18,500 units were sold in Canada.

2. Affected Products
The recalled products are all models of Delta-branded Gas Ball Valves. The valves are identifiable by the word “Delta” on at least one side of the chrome-colored sides of the body and the word “GAS” written in white on the blue-colored top. The recalled models are also identifiable by the markings “1/2 PSI MAX” and “GAS/GAZ” stamped on the bottom of the valve. The products were sold exclusively at plumbing supply distributors nationwide from January 2006 through January 2025 for a price range between $30 and $160. The manufacturer is Masco Canada Limited, of Canada. The importer is Delta Faucet Company, of Indianapolis, Indiana. The country of manufacture is Canada.

3. Hazard Information
The hazard associated with these products is that small amounts of gas can leak from the valve when it is in the open position. This leakage poses fire and burn hazards. As of the date of the recall notice, no injuries have been reported.

4. Consumer Action Required
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Delta-branded Gas Ball Valves. Consumers should then contact Masco Canada to confirm that their product is part of the recall and to receive instructions on how to obtain a refund. Masco Canada is contacting all known purchasers directly.

5. Official Remedy
The official remedy for this recall is a refund. Masco Canada will provide a refund for the recalled valves. Additionally, Masco Canada will reimburse the cost of labor to remove the units and dispose of them.
