1. Recall Summary
Pura Scents Inc., of Pleasant Grove, Utah, is recalling the detachable covers of Pura 4 Smart Home Fragrance Diffusers. The recall was initiated because the magnets on the inside of the detachable cover can detach. This recall is being conducted in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). The recall notice was published on July 24, 2025.

2. Affected Products
The recall involves the detachable cover of the Pura 4 Smart Home Fragrance Diffuser. The diffuser measures approximately 4 inches wide and 4 inches long. The detachable cover contains five magnets: three small magnets and two larger magnets. The serial number is located on the rear label of the diffuser, above the metal prongs. The affected diffusers have serial numbers within the following ranges: JX230000001 to JX230801425 and JX240000001 to JX240049959.

Approximately 851,400 units were sold in the United States. An additional 1,100 units were sold in Canada. The diffusers were sold at Pura.com, Amazon.com, Target.com, and Scheels.com, as well as at Target, Scheels, and other stores nationwide. They were sold from August 2023 through May 2025 for approximately $50. The products were manufactured in China.

3. Hazard Information
The hazard associated with this product is the potential for the magnets on the inside of the detachable cover to detach. This poses an ingestion hazard to children. According to the recall notice, when high-powered magnets are swallowed, the ingested magnets can attract each other, or other metal objects, and become lodged in the digestive system. This can result in perforations, twisting and/or blockage of the intestines, infection, blood poisoning, and death.

The firm, Pura Scents Inc., has received three reports of the magnets detaching from the cover. No injuries have been reported as of the date of the recall notice.
