1. Recall Summary
This recall involves Dresbe LED Christmas Headbands. The recall was initiated because the product violates the mandatory federal safety standard for consumer products containing button cell or coin batteries. The recall notice was published by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) on February 5, 2026. No injuries have been reported in connection with this recall.
2. Affected Products
The recalled product is the Dresbe LED Christmas Headband, sold as a two-pack of novelty headbands. The set includes one red headband with candy cane attachments and one green headband with a Christmas tree attachment. Each headband contains three button cell batteries to power integrated LED lights. The headbands have the model identifier “HB-052” and the text “DRESBE LED Christmas Headband (2pc)” printed on labels located on the product packaging.
Approximately 250 units were sold in the United States. The headbands were sold exclusively on Amazon.com from March 2024 through June 2025 for about $13. The distributor is identified as Wenxi Xuefeng Technology Co., Ltd, doing business as Dresbe, of China. The product was manufactured in China.
3. Hazard Information
The recalled headbands violate the mandatory federal safety standard for consumer products containing button cell or coin batteries. Specifically, the button cell batteries inside the headbands can be accessed easily by children. Additionally, the product packaging and the product itself do not contain the warning labels required under Reese’s Law.
When button cell or coin batteries are swallowed, the ingested batteries can cause serious injuries, internal chemical burns, and death. This ingestion hazard is the basis for the recall. As of the recall publication date, no injuries or incidents have been reported to the CPSC or the distributor.
4. Consumer Action Required
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Dresbe LED Christmas Headbands. Consumers must then contact Dresbe for instructions on how to properly dispose of the product. To receive a refund, consumers are required to email a photograph showing that the product has been disposed of to the following email address: dresberecall@shineprom.com.
Important note regarding battery disposal: Button cell batteries are hazardous waste. Consumers should dispose of or recycle the batteries by following local hazardous waste disposal procedures.
5. Official Remedy
