2. Affected Products
The recalled product is the Easymake adult portable bed rail. The bed rails are white and gray metal, measuring about 31.3 inches wide by 39.4 inches tall. They have extendable handles and legs with gray padding and a gray storage mesh pocket. The product packaging bears the text “EASYMAKE” and “Manufacturer: Zhongshan Yungu daily products Co., LTD.” No specific model numbers or UPCs are listed in the recall notice.

3. Hazard Information
The recalled bed rails violate the mandatory federal standard for adult portable bed rails. The violation is due to the risk that users can become entrapped within the bed rail or between the bed rail and the side of the mattress. This poses a serious entrapment hazard and risk of death by asphyxiation. Additionally, the bed rails do not bear the required hazard warning labels. No injuries have been reported in connection with this recall.

Consumers should stop using the recalled bed rails immediately. Consumers must destroy the bed rail by cutting the storage bag off the upper rail and cutting the safety strap in half. Consumers should then write “Recalled” in permanent marker on the main frame of the bed rail. After completing these steps, consumers must upload a photo of the marked bed rails to the recall website at https://easymake-us.myshopify.com/recall. Consumers should then dispose of the recalled product in accordance with state and local waste disposal procedures.
