This recall involves the Acer AES015 two-wheeled folding electric scooters. The scooters are designed to allow the user to fold the front tube down to the platform for compact transport and storage. Approximately 510 units were sold in the United States. In addition, about 311 units were sold in Canada and about 150 units were sold in Mexico. The scooters were sold online at Acer.com, Amazon.com, and in stores at BrandMart from between June 2023 and February 2026 for between $245 and $70.

The hazard identified in the recall notice is: A loose screw can cause the front tube to fold down unexpectedly, posing a risk of injury from a fall hazard. As of the recall date, no injuries have been reported in the United States. One report of the tube folding down resulting in a fall and minor abrasions has been reported internationally.
