Recall Summary
On February 22, 2024, Cascade Designs Inc., of Seattle, Washington, announced a recall of certain MSR-branded camping cooking pots. The recall involves anodized aluminum pots sold individually and as components of stove systems and kits. The letters “MSR” are written on the side of the pots. The products were manufactured in Thailand. They were sold at outdoor equipment stores nationwide from January 2008 through October 2023, with prices ranging from $40 to $290. The total number of units sold in the United States is about 60,655. In addition, about 22,320 units were sold in Canada and about 35 units were sold in Mexico.

Hazard Information
The pot handle can detach or become loose. This poses burn and scald risks to consumers from hot food and liquids spilling from the product. The company has received 22 reports of the pot handle either detaching or becoming loose. Among those reports, two involved burn injuries. No other injury details are specified in the recall notice.
