On March 21, 2024, Fisher-Price Inc., in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), announced a recall of specific plastic figures sold as part of the Fisher-Price Little People Mickey and Friends figure pack. The recall involves the Donald Duck and Daisy Duck figures included in models HPJ88 and HTW75. The recall was initiated due to a reported defect that poses a choking hazard to young children. The recall notice states that approximately 204,000 units were sold in the United States, with an additional 11,000 units sold in Canada.

The recalled products are the plastic Donald Duck and Daisy Duck figures from the Fisher-Price Little People Mickey and Friends figure pack. The Donald Duck figure is approximately 3 inches tall, has outstretched arms, and features a blue shirt with thin yellow stripes, a blue and black hat, and a red bow tie. The Daisy Duck figure is also approximately 3 inches tall, has outstretched arms, and features a light purple shirt, a turquoise necklace and bracelet, pink shoes, and a pink hair bow. The model number (HPJ88 or HTW75) is located on the bottom of the Goofy figure included in the same pack. The figures were sold at Walmart, Kohl’s, Meijer, HEB, and Kroger stores nationwide, as well as online at Amazon.com, Walmart.com, and other eCommerce sites. They were available for purchase from May 2023 through February 2024 at a price of approximately $20. The distributor is Fisher-Price Inc., of East Aurora, New York, and the products were manufactured in China.

3. Hazard Information
According to the recall notice, the heads of the Donald Duck and Daisy Duck figures can detach from the body. This detachment poses a choking hazard to young children. Fisher-Price has received three reports of the heads detaching from the Donald Duck or Daisy Duck figures. One of these reports involved a detached head found in the mouth of a young child. No injuries have been reported in connection with this hazard.

4. Consumer Action Required
Consumers are instructed to immediately stop using the Donald Duck and Daisy Duck figures. The figures should be taken away from children. Consumers should then contact Fisher-Price to receive a pre-paid return label. The recall notice specifies that only the Donald Duck and Daisy Duck figures that are part of the figure pack are subject to this recall. Consumers should return only these two figures using the provided label.

The official remedy for this recall is a refund. Upon returning the two recalled figures (Donald Duck and Daisy Duck) using the pre-paid return label provided by Fisher-Price, consumers will receive a $10 refund.
