Enerco Group Inc., of Cleveland, Ohio, in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Health Canada, is recalling approximately 21,250 units of DEWALT 70,000 BTU outdoor portable cordless forced air propane heaters (model number DXH70CFAVX). An additional 500 units were sold in Canada. The recall was initiated due to a fire and burn hazard associated with the product’s operating instructions. The heaters were sold exclusively at Lowe’s stores nationwide and online at Lowes.com from May 2024 through January 2025 for about $200. The heaters were manufactured in China.

The recall involves the DEWALT 70,000 BTU outdoor portable cordless forced air propane heater, model number DXH70CFAVX. The units are yellow and black in color. The model number is located on the hang tag. “DEWALT” is printed in black on the side of the bottom yellow portion of the units. The product’s UPC code is 089301008588.
