This recall involves Almpal brand Dissolved Oxygen Test Kits. The recalled product is the Almpal Dissolved Oxygen Test Kit. The kit is packaged in a cream-colored box bearing a white label with the text “Dissolved Oxygen Test Kit” printed on it. The label also includes the manufacture date, batch number, and expiration date. Approximately 470 units were sold. The kits were sold on Amazon by the seller Almpal from May 2025 through August 2025 for about $25. The distributor is Ningbo Leha E-Commerce Co., Ltd., of China, doing business as Amazon seller Almpal. The product was manufactured in China. Only unexpired kits are included in this recall, which involves kits sold after May 2025.

3. Hazard Information
The recalled test kits contain a bottle of sulfuric acid. The Poison Prevention Packaging Act requires that household substances containing hazardous chemicals, such as sulfuric acid, be packaged in child-resistant packaging. The test kits violate this mandatory standard because the bottle of sulfuric acid is not child-resistant. This poses a risk of serious injury or death from poisoning if the contents are swallowed by young children. No injuries have been reported.

4. Consumer Action Required
Consumers should immediately secure the recalled test kits out of the sight and reach of children. Consumers should contact Almpal for instructions on how to properly dispose of the recalled bottles and for information on how to receive a full refund. Prior to disposing of the recalled kits, consumers will be asked to submit a photo to the seller’s account through Amazon’s messaging platform. Consumers should dispose of all kits—expired, unexpired, or unused—in accordance with local household hazardous waste regulations. Physically returning the product is not required.
