Wyze Labs, Inc., of Kirkland, Washington, is recalling approximately 321,360 Wyze Solar Cam Pan security cameras in the United States, and an additional 2,560 units sold in Canada. The recall was announced on June 4, 2026, and published by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) under Recall Number 26524. The recall is due to a risk of fire and burn hazards associated with incorrect assembly instructions that can lead to puncture of the lithium-ion battery.

2. Affected Products
The recalled product is the Wyze Solar Cam Pan security camera. The camera is a lithium-ion battery operated, wire-free outdoor security camera with motorized pan-and-tilt functionality and an integrated solar panel. The model number is WYZESCPWH, located on the back of the camera. The cameras were sold in white. The units were sold at Home Depot, Micro Center, and online at www.wyze.com, Temu, Amazon, B2B Renew, Inc., ReturnPro, and Best Buy from October 2025 through April 2026 for approximately $80.

3. Hazard Information
The recalled Wyze Solar Cam Pan security cameras’ incorrect assembly instructions can lead consumers to accidentally puncture the lithium-ion battery’s metal casing. This puncture can cause the battery to rapidly overheat, posing a risk of serious injury or property damage from fire and burn hazards. The firm has received 13 consumer reports of the security cameras overheating, and six reports of the cameras exploding and catching on fire. These incidents include six reports of consumers suffering minor burns.

4. Consumer Action Required
Consumers should stop using the recalled Wyze Solar Cam Pan security camera immediately. All consumers who used the long, flat-head screw to install the solar panel on top of the camera should participate in the recall. Recalled lithium-ion batteries must be disposed of differently than other batteries because they present a greater risk of fire. Municipal household hazardous waste (HHW) collection centers may accept this recalled lithium-ion battery or device for disposal. Before taking the battery or device to a HHW collection center, consumers should contact that office ahead of time and ask whether it accepts recalled lithium-ion batteries. If it does not, contact the municipality for further guidance.

The firm is offering all affected consumers a choice of one of the following remedies: a free replacement camera with solar panel accessory, a full refund, or a gift card for the original purchase price to use on the firm’s website.
