1. Recall Summary

On June 23, 2022, a recall was announced for “A Memory In” branded pink children’s robes. The recall was initiated by Richie House, of Irvine, California. The products were sold exclusively online at www.walmart.com from March 2021 through March 2022. The recall was issued due to the robes failing to meet federal flammability standards for children’s sleepwear. Approximately 480 units were affected. No injuries have been reported in connection with this recall.

2. Affected Products

The recalled products are “A Memory In” branded pink children’s robes made of 100% polyester. The robes are long-sleeved, feature two front pockets, two side seam belt loops, and a matching belt. They were sold in children’s sizes 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, and 14. The side seam label includes the text “100% Polyester,” “exclusive of trim,” the fabric product unit number, and the garment production unit number. The specific fabric product unit number and garment production unit number included in this recall are FPU NO. AM003 and GPU NO. AM003-1. The robes were manufactured in China.

3. Hazard Information

The children’s robes fail to meet the flammability standards for children’s sleepwear. This violation poses a risk of burn injuries to children. As of the date of the recall notice, no injuries had been reported.

4. Consumer Action Required

Consumers should immediately take the recalled robes away from children. Consumers who purchased the robes are instructed to destroy the garments by cutting them in half. After destroying the garment, consumers must send the recalling firm a photo of the destroyed garment and a photo of the garment’s side seam label. Upon receipt of these photos, consumers will be issued a full refund. Walmart and Richie House are contacting all known purchasers directly.
