1. Recall Summary
On October 25, 2022, The Clorox Company, of Oakland, California, initiated a voluntary recall of certain Pine-Sol Scented Multi-Surface Cleaners, CloroxPro Pine-Sol All Purpose Cleaners, and Clorox Professional Pine-Sol Lemon Fresh Cleaners. The recall was issued due to the potential presence of bacteria in the products. The recall applies to products manufactured at the company’s Forest Park, Georgia facility through September 2022. Approximately 37 million recalled products were produced between January 2021 and September 2022. No injuries have been reported in connection with this recall.

2. Affected Products
The recall includes the following products:
– Pine-Sol Scented Multi-Surface Cleaners in Lavender Clean, Sparkling Wave, and Lemon Fresh scents.
– CloroxPro Pine-Sol All Purpose Cleaners in Lavender Clean, Sparkling Wave, Lemon Fresh, and Orange Energy scents.
– Clorox Professional Pine-Sol Lemon Fresh Cleaners.

Original Pine-Sol (Pine scent) is not included in this recall.

Affected products have date codes printed on the bottle beginning with the prefix “A4” followed by a five-digit number less than 22249. This prefix indicates products produced prior to September 2022. The products are sold in bottles of 28, 48, 60, 100, 144, and 175 fluid ounces. The products were sold online at Amazon.com and additional retailer websites, and at Walmart, Sam’s Club, Dollar General, Target, Home Depot, BJ’s, Kroger, Dollar Tree, Lowe’s, Publix, and other major retailers nationwide, for between $2.50 and $12.50.

3. Hazard Information
The recalled products may contain bacteria, including *Pseudomonas aeruginosa*, an environmental organism found widely in soil and water. According to the recall notice, people with weakened immune systems or external medical devices who are exposed to *Pseudomonas aeruginosa* face a risk of serious infection that may require medical treatment. The bacteria can enter the body if inhaled, through the eyes, or through a break in the skin. People with healthy immune systems are usually not affected by the bacteria. No injuries have been reported.

4. Consumer Action Required
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled products. Specifically, consumers should stop using:
– Pine-Sol Scented Multi-Surface Cleaners in Lavender Clean, Sparkling Wave, and Lemon Fresh scents.
– CloroxPro Pine-Sol All Purpose Cleaners in Lavender Clean, Sparkling Wave, Lemon Fresh, and Orange Energy scents.
– Clorox Professional Pine-Sol Lemon Fresh Cleaners.

Only products with date codes printed on the bottle beginning with “A4” and followed by a five-digit number less than 22249 are affected. Consumers should take pictures of the 12-digit UPC code and the date code, dispose of the product in its container with household trash, and contact Pine-Sol for a full refund.

5. Official Remedy
The official remedy is a full refund. Consumers may receive a refund of the purchase price with a receipt, or the manufacturer’s suggested retail price without a receipt. To obtain the refund, consumers must contact Pine-Sol using the contact information provided below.
