1. Recall Summary
The William Carter Company, of Atlanta, Georgia, is recalling approximately 50,800 units of infant’s yellow footed fleece pajamas with an animal graphic. An additional 200 units were sold in Canada. The recall was initiated due to the presence of small metal wire pieces in the pajamas, which pose puncture and laceration hazards to young children. The recall was published by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) on November 17, 2022. No injuries have been reported in connection with this recall.

2. Affected Products
The recall involves Carter’s infant’s one-piece fleece, footed pajamas. The recalled pajamas are yellow with an all-over heart design and a pink animal graphic. The pajamas were sold in children’s sizes 12M, 18M, and 24M. The style number 1O102410 is printed on the front of the care tag sewn on the inside of the pajamas. The UPC number is printed on the back of the same care tag. The style number and UPC number are also printed on the price tag. The specific UPC numbers included in the recall are:

The pajamas were manufactured in Cambodia. They were sold at Carter’s, Kohl’s, Macy’s, Belk, Boscov’s, and other stores nationwide and online at www.carters.com from July 2022 through September 2022 for approximately $22.

3. Hazard Information
The hazard identified in the recall notice is that small metal wire pieces can be found in the pajamas. This condition poses puncture and laceration hazards to young children. As of the date of the recall notice, no injuries or incidents have been reported.

4. Consumer Action Required
Consumers should immediately take the recalled infant footed fleece pajamas away from children. Consumers should then return the recalled pajamas to a Carter’s store location for a full refund in the form of a gift card. Alternatively, consumers can contact Carter’s to request a free return label and envelope to return the pajamas for a refund in the form of an electronic gift card.

The official remedy for this recall is a full refund. Consumers who return the recalled pajamas to a Carter’s store will receive a full refund in the form of a gift card.
