1. Recall Summary
On January 5, 2023, P.J. Salvage, in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), announced a recall of children’s two-piece long-sleeve shirt and pant pajama sets. The recall was initiated because the pajama sets fail to meet federal flammability standards for children’s sleepwear, posing a risk of burn injuries to children. No injuries have been reported in connection with this recall. The recall number is 23085.

2. Affected Products
The recalled products are children’s pajama sets made of 65% polyester and 35% rayon. The sets consist of a long-sleeve shirt and matching pants. They were sold in sizes x-small, small, medium, large, and x-large. The available colors and print patterns are: camo print in olive, tie dye in black, and striped in light blue and charcoal.

Identification features include:
– A black sewn-in fabric label at the neck of the garment printed with “P.J. Salvage,” “Made in China,” and the size.
– A white sewn-in, side-seam label printed with the size, “Not Intended for Sleepwear,” “RN 15741,” the fiber content, “Made in China,” and washing instructions.
– A second white sewn-in, side-seam label underneath the washing instructions label printed with the tracking code “09/2021 T2022.”

Approximately 2,650 units were affected by this recall. The pajamas were sold online at https://www.pjsalvage.com/, www.amazon.com, and www.zappos.com, as well as at the following retail stores nationwide: Animal Crackers, Auntie Barbara’s, Bumps N Bundles, Down to Earth Kids, Everafter, Gold Coast Kids, Jami Lyn, Midland Clothing, Millstead Boutique, Rhinestone Cowgirl, Rocky Mountain Day Spa, Simply Authentic LLC, Stoopher & Boots, Sweats Appeal, T Georgiano’s Boutique, Tack of the Town, and Twinkle Twinkle Little One. They were sold from December 2021 through December 2022 for approximately $56.

3. Hazard Information
The recalled children’s pajamas fail to meet the federal flammability standards for children’s sleepwear. This non-compliance poses a risk of burn injuries to children. As of the date of the recall notice, no injuries have been reported.

4. Consumer Action Required
Consumers should immediately take the recalled pajamas away from children and stop using them. Consumers must then contact P.J. Salvage for instructions on how to receive a pre-paid mailer and return the pajamas for a full refund. Consumers who purchased the pajamas directly from P.J. Salvage will be contacted by the company via email and/or postage mail.

5. Official Remedy
The official remedy is a full refund. Consumers who return the recalled pajamas using the pre-paid mailer provided by P.J. Salvage will receive a full refund.
