1. Recall Summary
On January 19, 2023, a recall was announced for children’s robes sold under the brand name Vaenait Baby. The recall was initiated by the importer, Explanet Enterprise, dba Vaenait Baby, of Buena Park, California. The recall was issued due to the products failing to meet federal flammability standards for children’s sleepwear. Approximately 2,400 units were sold in the United States. The robes were manufactured in China.
2. Affected Products
The recall involves children’s Vaenait Baby robes. The products are described as 100% polyester robes with a hood, two front pockets, and a belt. The robes were sold in sizes for 12 months to 7 years. The available colors are Sky, Gray, Ivory, Pink, and Yellow.
Identification markings are located on two labels:
– Side seam label: Displays “Lot number 58644-88” and “Sep. 2018.”
– Neck label: Displays “Vaenait Baby” with the size designation.

3. Hazard Information
The hazard identified in the recall notice is that the children’s robes fail to meet the federal flammability standards for children’s sleepwear. This failure poses a risk of burn injuries to children. As of the date of the recall notice, no injuries had been reported.
